The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) Easy Close Advantage Down Payment Assistance Program offers a low-interest loan of up to 6% of a home’s purchase price to assist low-to-moderate income homebuyers with down payment and closing costs.

Eligible participants must be purchasing an owner-occupied home in Wisconsin and must meet credit and mortgage requirements that you can view here: https://www.wheda.com/homeownership-and-renters/home-buyers/available-programs 

Applicants must also meet income limits which you can view here.

Eligible borrowers may also qualify for a reduced interest rate when buying a home in rural areas of Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Clark, Crawford, Iron, Jackson, Juneau, Marinette, Marquette, Oconto, Rusk, Sawyer and Trempealeau counties.
