1. Who is WorkMoney?

WorkMoney is a nonprofit organization in the U.S. that helps people save money on everyday expenses. The organization focuses on making the American Dream real for all Americans by connecting people with local free and low-cost resources to reduce their cost of living.

2. What does WorkMoney do?

WorkMoney connects people via online tools with local resources to help them save on everyday expenses and reduce financial burdens. Members can save money on:

  • Food

  • Family care

  • Transit and car

  • Phone and utilities

  • Healthcare 

  • Home upgrades

Additional member benefits include:

  • Regularly delivered money-saving tips via newsletters, SMS and/or email communications

  • Help with reducing and managing debt

  • Connection with free and low-cost local resources for healthcare, childcare, and eldercare

  • Member-only discounts on shopping, dining, and travel 


3. Who owns/runs WorkMoney?

Carrie Joy Grimes is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit WorkMoney. She founded the organization in 2020 to connect Americans with resources that can help them save them hundreds on daily bills and build a better life.

4. Is my data secure with WorkMoney?

Yes, your data is secure with WorkMoney. The nonprofit’s organizational, technical, and administrative safeguards are designed to protect any personal information it collects. WorkMoney only requests personal information when necessary and encourages all members not to share sensitive data unless explicitly asked. For more info, please see WorkMoney’s privacy policy.

5. Why am I getting texts from WorkMoney?

WorkMoney provides alerts and updates to subscribers. When you opt-in to the service, we will send you an SMS message to confirm your signup. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our SMS policy here.

6. How do I unsubscribe from receiving communications? 

For SMS communications - At any time, you can reply directly to a text message from us with the keyword “STOP” to opt out. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just subscribe again using any sign-up form from our website or on social media, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again. For email communications - At any time you can open a WorkMoney email, including newsletters, and look at the bottom of the message for a link to unsubscribe. Click the link. If you want to resubscribe at any time you can.
