Wisconsin offers a no-interest Job Access Loan (JAL) of up to $1,600 for parents who are seeking or need assistance keeping a job. The loan can be paid back over the course of a year with a combination of community service and cash. 

This loan can be used toward costs involved in a job search such as car repairs, work clothing or uniforms, tools and supplies, and moving costs.

To qualify, you must be a parent with a minor child (with or without custody) who resides in Wisconsin and cooperates with child support (if applicable). You must have an income at or below 115% FPL and cannot have more than $2,500 in assets. 

You can start an application for a Job Access Loan online using the ACCESS website.
