Get help finding a job in North Carolina (55+)

North Carolina offers paid part-time work placements to help adults 55 and older get back into the workforce.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) places economically disadvantaged adults aged 55 and older into part-time community service assignments at nonprofits and government agencies. The program trains participants for 20 hours per week while they receive a training stipend, helping them gain job skills and work experience to transition into permanent, unsubsidized employment.

The program also provides opportunities for professional growth through educational workshops and internships.
