It depends. It’s totally free to see your personal repayment calculator and if you’re eligible for loan forgiveness. If you want help enrolling in plans or someone you can work with on the phone, there’s a fee, from $5 a month to about $10 a month.
File for Bankruptcy
In the United States, you're allowed to file for bankruptcy. It's a way to rebuild your life. Upsolve is a tool that helps folks figure out if they're eligible for bankruptcy and can help explain what debt that erases. If you’re not eligible through Upsolve, they’ll help point you to someone in your community who can help. This is best for people who have over $10,000 in debt, don’t own a property, make less than $40,000 a year, and aren’t married. But Upsolve can walk you through it all.
