💡 Heinz ketchup for recipes - check out ordering yours on Amazon against the stores as you may get a better deal there!

Summer is right around the corner, and something about a fresh, juicy tomato straight from the vine makes it feel official. It may not be tomato season just yet, but we're already planning our summer menus with them in mind.

Whether it's fresh, canned, roasted, sun-dried or anything in-between, this week's Fridge is an ode to our favorite vegetable-y fruit, the humble tomato.

Extra Savings ✂️

Tips to Save More

🍤 Buy frozen shrimp, not fresh. Jumbo shrimp at the seafood counter is almost always the same shrimp as the bag in the freezer aisle, just marked up.

🍅 Roma tomatoes over heirlooms. Romas are almost always cheaper per pound than heirloom or on-the-vine varieties.

🥖 Stale bread is the move for panzanella. Day-old ciabatta or sourdough from the bakery markdown section works better here than fresh anyway, since it holds up to the dressing without turning to mush.
