The First Time Homebuyer Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program helps low and moderate-income individuals and families (under 80% AMI) in the form of a grant. The grant is a match of the buyer's contribution to downpayment and closing costs, up to 50% of the total downpayment and closing costs, with a max of $5,000.

Households must make less than 80% of Butler County's median income for your household size. You can find income thresholds here.

To apply, contact Butler County's Housing Counselor at 724-287-6797 ext. 240 to schedule an appointment for Pre-Purchase Home-ownership Counseling.
