Financial help for health insurance (also known as health insurance subsidies or premium tax credits) is available to help lower the cost of health insurance for eligible individuals who don’t get health insurance from their employer, Medicare, or Medicaid. These subsidies can be accessed through healthcare.gov or your state’s health insurance marketplace. 3 out of 4 people who shop for insurance on the marketplace are eligible for a plan that is $10/month or less.
