In the United States, you're allowed to file for bankruptcy. It's a way to rebuild your life. Upsolve is a tool that helps folks figure out if they're eligible for bankruptcy and can help explain what debt that erases. If you’re not eligible through Upsolve, they’ll help point you to someone in your community who can help. This is best for people who have over $10,000 in debt, don’t own a property, make less than $40,000 a year, and aren’t married. But Upsolve can walk you through it all.
How much does it cost?
Using Upsolve is totally free. But filing for bankruptcy is not free – that requires a filing fee of a few hundred dollars. Upsolve doesn’t make any money off of your filing, it’s just what the government charges. You can learn more about it on their site.
