Save on childcare in Wisconsin

Wisconsin offers a subsidy for childcare costs.

Apply now

Qualifying parents in Wisconsin can receive a subsidy that covers a portion of your childcare costs for children under the age of 13 (or under 19 with a disability) from an authorized childcare provider. The amount of the subsidy varies by income, household size, and number of children in your care. If you want to estimate what your subsidy might be, you can use the calculator here

Wisconsin parents with a household income below 200% FPL are eligible for the program and remain eligible as long as household income remains under 85% AMI.

You can apply for the Wisconsin Shares Childcare Subsidy Program online at ACCESS Wisconsin.

You can also apply by phone in person at a local Income Maintenance Agency. You can call your local agency with questions about the program. Find your local Income Maintenance Agency here.
