Save on childcare in North Carolina
North Carolina families may qualify for subsidized childcare assistance.
The NC Child Care Subsidy program uses state and federal funds to provide subsidized child care services to eligible families through an approved childcare provider.
You may be eligible if you are working or attempting to find work, enrolled in school or a job training program, your child is receiving child protective services or needs care to support child welfare services, your family is experiencing a crisis, or your child has developmental needs.
Once determined eligible, your eligibility is valid for 12 months, provided your family remains eligible. You must report any changes in your circumstances — such as a change in income, employment, family size, or address — to your child care social worker within 5 working days.
To apply, contact your County Child Care office. Find your local county contact here: https://ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov/
